 1. Om Puri

Om Puri was one of the most respected and talented actors of the Bollywood industry.  He did many amazing roles which changed and shaped his career. He graduated from Films and Television Institute of India (FTII) and the National School of Drama (NSD).

 2. Pankaj Kapur

Next on the list comes a versatile actor, Pankaj Kapur. He started his career in theater after graduating from National School of Drama (NSD). After that, he went on performing various roles in Bollywood films.

 3. Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan was a theatre artist before his Bollywood days. He did theatre during his college years and not only that he was part of the Theatre Action Group where he studied under Barry John.

 4. Raj Babbar

Before becoming a successful actor in the Bollywood industry, Raj Babbar was a method student at the National School of Drama (NSD).

 5. Shammi Kapoor

Shammi Kapoor worked as a junior artist film and then worked as a theatre artist at Prithvi Theatre for four years.

 6. Irrfan Khan

She came to Delhi when she was 60 years of age. She worked and learned under Arvind Gaur. She even participated in Gaur’s theatre workshop at the India Habitat Centre, playing various roles.
