This will be the first time in the history of NBA Games that they will be held in India. And in the words of Bhuvan Bam, being the first Indian to sing the national anthem in front of an international audience is a proud moment for me. Below are the details…
At the NBA India Games 2019, the international basketball sport event taking place in Mumbai, content creator cum musician Bhuvan Bam will sing the Indian national anthem. As we have already mentioned above, he will be the 1st Indian to do so at the debut games, which will be watched by a global audience in more than 90 countries.
When this BB Ki Vines star found out that he got the opportunity to sing Jana Gana Mana, he jumped at it as he always wanted the NBA games to come to India. These were his words in excitement,
“This is the first time the NBA games have come to India and being the first Indian to sing the national anthem in front of an international audience is a proud moment for me. I’m ecstatic to get this honour to croon respectfully the glory of our nation in front of over 90 countries and I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it. It’s so exciting for me to be able to represent the country on a global platform such as this and I hope to get many more opportunities to do so.”
This doesn’t stop at this, Bhuvam Bam was also extended an invitation to watch the Boston Celtics last year and for the NBA All-Star Games this year in Charlotte London.
Such big events coming to India is not a surprise. All of this has a commercial angle to it. Indians are spread globally be it developed, developing and under-developed countries and similar is their nature of interests i.e. global. So, such events tend to make big money by catering to both off-shore and on-shore Indians.
