Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan starrer Parineeta were based on a 1917 novel by Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The book had the same name as the movie. Vidya Balan’s debut movie was a blockbuster. Apart from great music, this movie had a great story and chemistry.
Vishal Bharadwaj’s love for Shakespeare is well known. This movie was inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Othello.
