Titled ‘Mard Maratha’, this audio single shows the spirit of Maratha with the presence of lejhim dancers from Pune & authentic bull dancers. It features Kriti Sanon along with other supporting cast singing & dancing while applauding the bravery of the Maratha empire. Just a few seconds into the track Arjun Kapoor joins them and sings the song. Interestingly, ‘Mard Maratha’ track features 1300 dancers & has been shot extensively for about 13 days.
Ajay-Atul, Sudesh Bhosle, Kunal Ganjawala, Swapnil Bandodkar, Padmanabh Gaikwad & Priyanka Barve are the playback voices behind ‘Mard Maratha’. With music that is composed by Ajay-Atul and lyrics that are penned by Javed Akhtar. This is a beautifully shot song which is its USP. It also features an amazing Peshwai ambience with a grand Ganesh idol in the background.

Sometime back while talking to Mumbai Mirror about the track, Ajay-Atul said,
“The song celebrates the richness of the Maratha regime. We wanted to create a song which not only has a traditional feel to it but can also be enjoyed by all kinds of audiences, regardless of their age and taste in music. So, keeping that in mind we have created ‘Mard Maratha’ in such a way that it appeals to one and all.”
Talking about Panipat, the film has an ensemble cast that includes names like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl, Kunal Kapoor, Suhasini Muley & Ravindra Mahajani in pivotal roles. Helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker, it is co-produced by Sunita Gowariker & Rohit Shelatkar.
Talking about its plot, it is based on ‘Third Battle of Panipat’ fought between the Maratha Empire lead by Sadashiv Rao Bhau & the invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali, King of Afghanistan.
