Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla that hit the theaters last month opened to some positive reviews from the film critics and impressed the audience as well. Nevertheless, it seems like Bachchan is a bit upset with the fact that the movie’s box office success has not been celebrated or publicized by none, neither the producer, nor the distributor, nor the line producer, nor anyone else in the industry.
The previous night, Big B took his Twitter handle to talk about the same. According to him, the film’s success has been ignored by the team of the film and the industry in general. As soon as the megastar tweeted about his feelings, Shah Rukh Khan who is also the producer of the film responded to Big B’s tweet.
Big B also tweeted a box office report, which announced that Badla had crossed the INR 85 crore mark and also wrote about the silent success of the film that is snubbed by the industry.
The actor wrote in his tweet,
“About time someone started talking about this silent success !! Because neither the producer, nor the distributor, nor the on line producer, or any else in the Industry, in general, has even spent a nano second to compliment the success of this film Badla.”
Responding to this, Shah Rukh Khan who produced Badla re-tweeted to Big B’s tweet and wrote that the Badla team was ‘waiting for a party in front of Jalsa’. SRK wrote,
“Sir hum toh wait kar rahein hain ki aap party kab de rahein hain hum sabko! We r waiting outside Jalsa every nite! (Sir we’ve been waiting for you to throw a party for everyone! We’re waiting outside Jalsa every night!).”
Talking about the film, made on a budget of INR 10 crores approx, the revenge-thriller film, Badla was helmed by Sujoy Ghosh. This film is an official adaptation of Spanish film titled, ‘Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest). Badla is a story of a defense lawyer Badal Gupta which is played by Amitabh Bachchan who is hired by Naina (Taapsee Pannu) to prove that she is innocent after being accused of murdering her paramour.
