Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Had Gulabo-Sitabo Moment on Video Chat

It was the moment when the trailer of Gulabo-Sitabo was to be announced and Amitabh Bachchan-Ayushmann ended up having disagreements on agreeing during Duo’s video chat with Director: Shoojit.

Bollywood Big-Wig: Amitabh Bachchan and Proven Talent: Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen together for the first time in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’. Both have worked with Shoojit in the past for separate projects, but none of them cast the Duo together.

There is not much time left in the unveiling of the much-awaited trailer for Gulabo-Sitabo to the excitement of the fans. The film marks the 1st outing of Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana together on the box office while they are reuniting with their Piku and Vicky Donor director Shoojit Sircar. Also, this is the 1st Bollywood film to be streamed on an OTT platform Amazon Prime Video due to coronavirus lockdown.

Due to the coronavirus lockdown having no end in-sight on a global scale and theatres all across the world being shut for more than 2 months in continuous for probably 1st time in the known history. The definition of theatre release is getting a change and filmmakers and box office audiences both are getting increasingly comfortable seeing new releases in the comforts of their homes on OTT platforms.

Coming back to Gulabo-Sitabo’s trailer, prior to its trailer release, Big B, Ayushmann and Shoojit caught up with each other virtually to make the formal announcement. But this chat had a lot of interruptions from both Bachchan and Ayushmann alike, like their characters in the movie and they seemed to be never on the same page (probably generation gap phenomenon doing its act).

Shoojit unsuccessfully tries to connect Ayushmann, but his phone gets engaged and then he comes and makes them wait once again to put on a jacket. As Big B starts talking in English the Dream Girl actor asks him to use Hindi as the film is shot in Lucknow.

Big B switches to his Kaun Banega Crorepati mode and says ‘Deviyon aur Sajjanon’ and again gets interrupted by Ayushmann. These three in the end, arrive at a point where they disclose that the trailer will be out on May 22, 2020.
