Alia Bhatt came out with an official statement on her Instagram story clarifying that she in no way has injured her back while shooting for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi‘.
It was another one of those fake news. This Monday, Alia Bhatt went to her Instagram story and shared a selfie with her pet cat Edward. She gave her fans via this post some updates about her health.
“Selfie time with mommy cause she’s hurt her back and has nothing better to do at 2 am.”
As soon as this post went live. Rumors started making rounds that Alia has injured herself while shooting for her forthcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. But Alia was quick to put a stop to this fake news and immediately took to her Instagram story and released a statement declaring that she wasn’t injured during the shoot.
These were her words,
“To all those articles out there saying that I have hurt myself on the sets of my film, they are NOT true. This is an old injury that has been acting up for a while and just gave way one day at HOME. No accident or nothing! Please do clarify next time before printing long articles on what happened to me.”
She completed the post with words,
“Having said that thanks to a few days of complete rest and being horizontal I’m back in action and am resuming shoot from today! Thank you for all the get well soon messages as I have got well very soon.”

Talking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s project: Gangubai Kathiawadi, its first look posters were unveiled a few days back and Alia is seen in a never-seen-before avatar. It is set to make a box office debut on September 11, 2020.
Alia’s response was very quick and precise because she’s a part of a project that involves big money and the world has already seen in past the damage fake news could inflict if not dealt with on-time.
