For the last few days, there are rumors that things are not at all good between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
Both these actors worked together in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy (2019), a film that is India’s official entry to the Oscars – in the Best International Feature Film category for the 92nd Academy Awards. Both are known to share an amicable rapport with each other. Whether it is on the sets or during the promotional events, both looked every bit comfortable around each other. So, what could be the reason for the distance between them?
Just a few days ago, there was a report that suggested director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had approached Ranveer Singh for a cameo in his film Gangubai. This report also had news that Ranveer Singh had turned down the request, leaving Alia Bhatt, who is part of the film, quite upset.
But there are new reports incoming that all this was fake news. As Ranveer Singh was not approached for Gangubai and his equation with Alia Bhatt has not been affected.
A source shared with Pinkvilla,
“Alia’s film with SLB has never had Ranveer in the mix. So, there is no question of him doing a cameo in this project. SLB and Ranveer are the most loved, most successful and most acclaimed director-actor combinations of this era – the trade and audience are waiting in anticipation to know when they will join forces again.”
So, one thing is clear that there’s no bad blood between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
Talking about other projects, Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt are already on-board for Takht, in which they will share screen space for the 2nd time. It would be helmed by Karan Johar. Both will share the screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
Apart from that Alia Bhatt will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra opposite her future soulmate Ranbir Kapoor.
