A wedding invitation of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor that is both fake and flawed got leaked online and went viral on social media within no time. But it has now been clarified by reliable sources that the invitation is in fact fake.
This wedding invite has content that reads,
“Mrs. Neetu Kapoor and Mr. Rishi Kapoor cordially invite you for the Sagan ceremony of their son Ranbir with Aliya (D/O Mrs. Soni and Mr. Mukesh Bhatt) on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020, 5 PM onwards.”
The wedding venue is declared as Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. The first error in this invite is that Alia’s name is spelled wrong. Another error made is that Alia is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, not Mukesh Bhatt.
This wedding invitation is going viral on social media platforms, especially Whatsapp & Twitter. As a result, a lot of well-wishers are congratulating the much-loved couple, without realizing the obvious grammatical & spelling mistakes in the card.
According to The Quint, a source close to Alia has confirmed that the invitation is fake & Alia and Ranbir have made no such announcement.
Alia and Ranbir have been in a relationship for a while now, and every now & then, rumors of their supposed engagement & wedding keep popping up. Both will share the screen space for the very 1st time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which is scheduled for release on December 25, 2019.
Very recently, the couple stole some time for themselves & went on a holiday to Kenya. A couple of pics of the two enjoying the wilderness of Masai Mara while on a safari, had gone viral.
Talking about other projects of Alia, his 1st ever box office appearance with Salman Khan that was to be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been shelved for reasons known only to the involved parties. Alia Bhatt was very recently honored at Vogue Women Of The Year 2019 event.
