Paving way for Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chadha‘, Akshay Kumar starrer film Bachchan Pandey will now release on January 22, 2021.
Akshay Kumar facing an issue of clashes at box office is a common thing if you have a look at the past. Bollywood’s Action Man has often clashed with his ‘friend’ John Abraham on box office at least for the past 2 years. In the year 2020, Akshay was going to have a movie clash with Aamir Khan. But entertaining Aamir Khan’s request, Akshay agreed to change the release date of his film ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
Aamir Khan, who made a request to Akshay Kumar to change the release date so that his movie ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ can have a better opening at the Box Office, thanked Khiladi Kumar for his gesture by writing,
“Sometimes all it takes is one conversation. Thank you to my friends @akshaykumar & Sajid Nadiadwala for their warm gesture of moving the release date of their film Bachchan Pandey at my request. I wish them the very best for their film. Looking forward to it. Love. a”
Akshay Kumar also showed his humbleness and sharing an intriguing first look from Bachchan Pandey, he replied to the same by writing,
“Anytime @aamir_khan, we’re all friends here. Presenting – new look, new release date. Coming on 22nd January, 2021. In and as #BachchanPandey!”

Prior to ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ vs ‘Bachchan Pandey’ (the Bollywood version of South Indian film ‘Veeram’), Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ was also going to have a face off with Salman Khan’s Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai this year. But the film’s director Rohit Shetty joined by Salman Khan, actor cum producer of Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai, collaboratively announced that ‘Sooryavanshi’ is now slated for a March 27, 2020 release.
Akshay Kumar’s: Mission Mangal and John Abraham’s: Batla House both made their box office debut on Independence Day last year. But latter suffered in terms of box office collection which was more attributed to the box clash of these films.
