Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb will be released on an OTT platform in the coming few months.
Talking about its cast, Laxmmi Bomb will feature Sharad Kelkar, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Tusshar Kapoor in key roles. The film is being helmed by Raghava Lawrence.
After Gulabo Sitabo and Shakuntala Devi biopic, Akshay Kumar-Kiara Advani starrer: Laxmmi Bomb can be the next Bollywood film to premiere on an OTT platform. If the incoming reports are to be believed then the makers have sold the film’s broadcast rights to an OTT platform for a staggering cost of INR 125 crore. A source revealed to PinkVilla,
“Laxmmi Bomb has been sold for a staggering Rs 125 crore. But while the number is huge considering digital rates, what one must not forget is that it had the potential of earning over Rs 200 crore at the box office, despite a clash with Salman Khan’s Radhe.”
Now, the latest news that arrived suggests that Laxmmi Bomb will release on August 15th (Indian Independence Day) on the same OTT platform. Laxmmi Bomb is the Bollywood version of Tamil horror comedy Kanchana and is being helmed by Raghava Lawrence. The film also features Kiara Advani in a key role. In “Laxmmi Bomb”, Akshay plays a character that is possessed by a ghost of a transgender. Laxmmi Bomb is an official version of Muni 2: Kanchana.
Akshay Kumar will also be seen in Sooryavanshi, which also features Katrina Kaif, Jaaved Jaaferi, Gulshan Grover, Kumud Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh, Vivan Bhatena and Sikander Khan, with cameo appearances from Ajay Devgn as Singham & Ranveer Singh as Simmba. The flick was supposed to release on March 24 but has been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It’s been financially backed by the banners of Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, and Cape Of Good Films.
Due to its 3 figure production budget, Sooryavanshi makers are hesitant to release it on an OTT platform.
