After resting at home for almost eight months, actor Ajay Devgn has also started working on the film set from Tuesday. He has started shooting for his incomplete film ‘Bhuj – The Pride of India’ in Hyderabad. Sources revealed that most of the shooting of this film was done by Ajay Devgn before the lockdown. Now only about work for 10 to 12 days is left, which Ajay Devgn will complete very soon.
Ever since the lockdown came into force in the country due to Coronavirus in the month of March, Ajay Devgn stayed at his home and took part in other creative works. He also composed a song along with his son Yuga during lockdown and read many screenplays. But, now he has returned to his real work. He has started shooting for his upcoming film ‘Bhuj – The Pride of India’ at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Ajay started shooting when the makers managed all the health and safety related arrangements.
In the historical film Bhuj – The Pride of India, Ajay Devgn will be seen playing the role of Vijay Karnik, the Squadron Leader of the Indian Air Force. The story of this film is set during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik rebuilds his airbase in Bhuj, devastated by the Pakistani Army. Vijay Karnik takes the help of three hundred local women including Sundarben to build this airbase. Sonakshi Sinha will appear in the film as Sundarben. In the film, Sanjay Dutt will play the role of a common citizen who helps the Indian Army during the war.
Sanjay Dutt will start his shooting in a day or two for ‘Bhuj- The Pride of India’. A few days ago, he returned to the country after spending time with his family in Dubai. The film is proposed for release on OTT. This year, only one film of Ajay ‘Tanaji – The Unsung Warrior’ has been released in theaters. Ajay has also produced the film ‘Chalaang’ released recently on OTT. The film received good response from critics.
In addition to ‘Bhuj – The Pride of India’ in the future, Ajay will be seen doing an extended cameo with Ranveer Singh in Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Suryavanshi’. Ajay Devgn has also planned to release his film ‘Maidaan’ on the occasion of Independence Day next year. It will feature Ajay as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film was scheduled to be released this year but could not be possible due to Covid-19.
