Aamir Khan Confesses His Eagerness To Watch The Sky Is Pink By Penning A Heartfelt Note To The Filmmakers

Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink is the one much-awaited flick this year. This flick has a star cast that includes names: Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, and Rohit Suresh Saraf.

It is a real-life story based on the life of a now-deceased Delhi teenage girl, who dies of a terminal illness, and how it affects her family. Bollywood’s perfectionist: Aamir Khan took to his social media to confess his eagerness to watch the movie, after having a first look at its trailer. He did this job by penning a sweet message for The Sky Is Pink team.

He penned a tweet to wish the team the very best and wrote,

“I really liked this trailer. Can’t wait to see the movie. Looks like Shonali has made another fantastic film. I am sure Priyanka, Farhan and Zaira’s performances in the film will wow us. Sid, wishing you the best for your first independent film! Love. a.” (sic).

The Sky Is Pink will be Siddharth Roy Kapur’s first independent film production.

The Sky Is Pink premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, to a standing ovation. The very first reviews that came post this TIFF premiere, praised both the filmmakers and the cast for a brilliant production. It is scheduled to hit silver screens on October 11.

The Sky Is Pink narrates on the silver screen, the story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who died of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 18. Aisha’s parents: Aditi & Niren Chaudhary were also present at the TIFF premiere, giving company to the film’s cast.

The Sky Is Pink director: Shonali Bose revealed that the story called him on the personal front as she too had lost her son, resulting in the separation of her and her then-husband. Shonali was fascinated by the will of Aisha’s parents. The way the couple together endured the turmoil of losing their daughter, while in most cases couples do not survive such a thing.
